
Career & Leadership in EMS
Dr. Winston R. Warren, born in Barbados, began his EMS career in 1984 with Buffalo State College Volunteer Ambulance Corps in New York. He earned his paramedic license in 1994 and holds a B.S. in English (D’Youville College), an M.S. (Buffalo State College), and a Doctor of Health Science (Nova Southeastern University).
EMS Education & Clinical Training
Dr. Warren is an AHA-certified instructor in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and is recognized by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a First Aid instructor. He is also principal of an AHA Training Site in Orlando, continuing to provide high-quality clinical education to EMS professionals.
Professional Service & Contributions
As Chairman of a Statewide ALS Committee, Dr. Warren led the development of a statewide EMS clinical competition for the Florida Fire Chiefs Association. He currently serves as Academic Chair of the Caribbean Emergency Services Registry, advancing regional training standards and collaboration.
