Dr. Smith has traveled the United States and presented at conferences regarding Active Shooter Hostile Event response and preparedness. He has provided comprehensive insights, planning, and consultation to enhance preparedness for ASHER events. His engagement includes being involved with NFPA 3000 and its development after the Pulse Night Club shooting in Orlando, Florida on June 12, 2016. He has also presented this topic in the Caribbean and continues to explore the attitudes of responders who are engaged in service delivery.
